Plan of Salvation Part 1

God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning. This included man and everything that exists. God said his creation was good. There was no evil or sin. God put the man, Adam in charge of keeping the creation which was called Eden. God told Adam not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

God loved man. God and man were very close until man disobeyed by eating the fruit that God had warned him against. This act was the first sin. It destroyed the close relationship between God and man. As a result of man’s disobedience everyone born after Adam was born a sinner. Being a sinner separates us from God.

God punished Adam and Eve his wife for their disobedience. They had to leave the garden, begin to work and have children. More and more people were born. They were separated from God by sin, so they did many evil deeds.

Because God still loved mankind, he made a plan so that He and mankind would no longer be separated by sin. God decided to send His own son, Jesus Christ to earth to die for our sins.

According to God’s plan to save man, man would have to believe that God sent Jesus to die for us. We would have to become sorry for our sins and ask God to forgive us. This is how man can become saved. God’s forgiveness places a person back into a close relationship with Him. In this close relationship one would no longer disobey God.
